Speaking of Wikis, WikiHow is a lovely new distraction.

After five minutes of trawling I learned How To:
-Be a good subway customer
-Convert people to a new religion
-Not be scared in a movie
-Watch TV naked
-Celebrate Hobbit Day

Alex Gross is one of my new favorite artists.

http://www.alexgross.com/

I bought his book for my dads birthday, but I think I liked it more than he did. I've never been able to articulate my thoughts about art very well, but lets have a go. I love Gross's work because it is beautiful*, and because it invites yet defies explanation. His paintings are very consciously over symbolic and theme-laden, a sort of pop hallucination which tricks you into trying to interpret every allegory. Or I don't know, maybe everything really is representative of something meaningful. I haven't read wordy part of the book yet.

*already wrong
